Salisbury Pond at one point in time was around 5-feet deep. Now, the water level sits at just 2 or 3 inches. But the Friends of Institute Park is working on restoring the pond.
The nonprofit organization was formed almost 21 years ago with the aim of restoring Institute Park. Now its "laser focus" is Salisbury Pond and a public awareness campaign about the pond's declining water levels.
