Friends of Institute Park (Friends) is a support group that cares deeply about this superb urban park and its adjacent pond. As a member-supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, our volunteer board of directors includes people from the private and public sectors including professionals and individuals with strong ties to the neighborhood, neighboring institutions and the City of Worcester.
We believe that Institute Park is one of the area's finest public venues. It is the location for a number of community events throughout the year and serves thousands of residents annually including countless members of the nearby WPI community. Our goals include ensuring that the park and the pond remain responsive to evolving community needs and preserving the magnificent natural spaces that the park and pond were always envisioned to be.
